Like a lot of you I registed with Staples as a first time customer, paid over £3 for a ruler and expected a surround sound system to arrive with it. However, you've guessed it, no surround system.

After a couple of emails to their customer services and a threat of reporting them to trading standards, I today got a phone call from them apologising for the error and saying that as they had no surround sound systmes left they would send me out a personal CD player instead. Result - the wife can now have 2 christmas presents this year (I think that is a record) although I haven't managed to get any free wrapping paper yet.

Well, what can I say. sorry doesn't seem enough seeing as you don't have enough wrapping paper.

try registering on baileys website they sent me some lovely wrapping paper and a gift tag this week!! ;D

i registered for a pencil (34p) they sent a pencil and a digi camera coz they were out of surround sound systems..somebody took em all!!! then i complained coz the camera was a bit poor so now i am waiting for the cd player as well!! then i might complain again! :P

Phoned them up today...said it had already been dispatched ages ago.

So I told them I havent recieved or the free gift.

They said they would send both. Interesting thing was he didnt say I wouldnt get the original free gift.
