Search standing lowered

Due to a couple of low marks recently, and a lack of feedback to balance it out, my Item Description rating has taken a bit of a hit.

Its now 4.13 for the month.

This is the first time any of my ratings have gone into the red, so this is new to me.

I agree with the point of the system, and strive to meet the requirements but surely my items should still come up on searches, just not as well as before ??

Because my listings from yesterday are no where to be seen when you type in keywords/phrases. And its not like theres not much competition for these items, they would be 1 of about 3 or 4 listed.

Other than sit and wait for some good feedback, what can I do ????

If you have stars at 4.1 or 4.2 (depending on how they round the figures) you are very close to being suspended especially if your overall turnover of feedback is low. You need all your stars on the main feedback page to be 4.4 or more.

Personally if ebay is important to you I owuld shove up a few easy to sell low cost items where description is not an issue and sell them cheaply, at cost if possible, to get some very quick good feedback in.

Also, description is usually one of the areas where it is difficult to drop low, I rarely see anyone with that below 4.7 even where other stars may be sufffering. If this is an issue for your goods is there anything you could change, is there any useful comments in feedback that gives you a clue what is wrong?

the 30 day rating has made my overall rating 4.6 for for this.

it was an unfortunate couple of cases where because i have taken on quite a lot of new work recently a couple of mistakes where made in listings. one being clearly described refurb being tagged as new (the buyer didn't read the description, but hands up, my fault), the other a mistake in how it was to be sent, which i picked up on too late to change the booking.

at a guess it is only 2 people ratings that have dragged it down so far. i'm selling stuff daily so it should sort itself quickly enough.

i think it should be called "search death" tho, as i'm not currently even standing !
