Oversubscribed Products

Is anyone aware of financial products, savings, bonds, mortgages products that have been heavily oversubscribed in the past that then had to be pulled quickly. Reason I ask is that I'm writing a paper on the issue and have a few examples of when this has happened but wanted to get some more.

Yes. It has happened on fixed term deposits and guaranteed equity bonds. Usually X amount is allocated to a certain deal (usually for underwriting or liability reasons). If the deal is popular then the money can be used up quicker than expected and see the deal pulled before its stated date.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
