Good afternoon all from sunny Surrey ,
Numpty , I too sussed exactly why you were whizzing up & down to Leeds on certain days but am far to discreet to mention it
Hello Jannine- yes indeed we are a fab bunch of peeps & oh so modest too :rotfl:
Tixy - I too have been visiting my elderly grandmother - aged 94 - but then met one of her neighbours who proudly told me that he's just turned 103
I'm trying to encourage a friend to come & wield hedgetrimmers with me - am going right off the idea0 -
In that case you will be in the Guiness Book of Records and Bristains Oldest Monkey:eek:
It might happen sooner if a) you win the lottery or b) get a job that pays a salary - heard anything from that interview yet or are they still dragging their knuckles on the ground?
I think the knuckles must be well down to middle earth now:rolleyes:Good afternoon all from sunny Surrey ,

Farmsitting sounds like fun Tixy - does grandma come as part of the farm?
I'd steer clear of the shops Tixy as I know you say you will buy the clothes on line, you may give into temptation:D
How's the leg MF?
Ah - you know me too well H. I did indeed give in temptation- if only I'd read your advice before I set off! I have a new top (reduced to £11 from £30) and a new necklace (reduced to £8 from £22) - but I didn't buy a £60 bikini - I'm going to get that online!
Grandma is part of the farmsitting deal but lives 3miles away. She is a spring chicken compared to Lula's grandmother as she's only 91! But she's very proud to be independently living on her own at her age (well she calls 2 - 3 visits per day from my mother or I as being independent )
Farmsitting can be fun - but those little ducklings I posted a picture of a few weeks ago are very demanding!
Numpty I have an idea to pay your debt off by the time you are 200 - a whole 50years off your DFD. But it does mean selling your [STRIKE]soul[/STRIKE] body to the [STRIKE]devil[/STRIKE] voyeurs. "Roll up, roll up, come and view the world's oldest monkey! - 50p to feed him hobnobs, £3 to scare him with a tiny spider"

Tixy you are sooo cruel...Poor ickle Numpty:o Mind you I will pay 50p to feed him hobnobs:D Lula - how far are you from Wol's place? I have just had a brilliant thought - Numpty could trim your bush in exchange for some hobnobs:D
Tixy well done on the sale bargains too - I can't complain as I dared to venture into Fenn Wright & Manson in Selfridges (purely to look - honestly that's all I went to that section for) and ended up buying 2 skirts, 2 jackets, 2 scarves (to match each skirt) and a top - now these items can mix and match with items that I already have:eek: - I was killing time before I had to do my mystery shop in the Moet Bar/Restaurant. I noticed they have started doing cocktails and nearly fell off the chair and choked on my lunch when I saw the price of one of them - they were selling a cocktail for £13.50 (I could buy a bloomin' good bottle of wine for that amount). The cocktail was made with pink champagne, white shampagne, some strawberry liqueur and fressh strawberries:eek: - needless to say I gave it a miss:D0 -
A `hauled up` from bottom page 2 kind of BUMP !!
Angiexx0 -
Mmmmmmm - that cocktail does sound lush Horace, although clearly not a lush price. What a fab place to mystery shop though - I thought it would be all banks and boring shops - really must get my butt in gear to do mystery shopping.
I think your shopping can be classed as 'increasing your capsule wardrobe' which sounds a lot less frivolous!

Are you sure you gave it a miss H ??.....judging by the spelling I think you may have had a little `try` first ...LOL:rolleyes::rolleyes::D:D:D0 -
Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P
