    Hi [STRIKE]Patch[/STRIKE] Horace

Glad you popped in to tell us how it went (I see you have gone now- GAs are knackering for days I know, hope you are getting lots of rest).

Glad the op went well but :eek::eek: to the nutter. Oh my god - I can't imagine, you'd think they'd have some sort of panic alarm at the ward reception wouldn't you. At least he didn't actually hurt anyone. Anyway what happened to single sex wards

Good to hear ex-OH has been making himself useful as well.

    Take care.

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

    And one of these.

PS Rog....visit to Wiltshire can be arranged......(i.e. quick dash up the M4 - my parents are in Bath)....... if you fancy a pint while Numpty is down......:D

Bit late this time - I'm working tomorrow - but next time we'll definitely organise something. I'm very close to Bath - my parents live there too.

H - glad the operation went well, although not so pleased to hear about your strange  experiences at the hospital.

I ventured out today - I meant to go to the paper shop but only managed to go as far as the postbox. Will be going out in a while to Mr T's to get some drink for ex OH..and some boiled sweets for me.

Have recovered from the loonie - the eye hospital wards are not too bad because men are up one end and women and kids at the other. Anyway as our telly was bust the 4 of us ladies were thinking of suitable gruesome ways of dealing with the junkie - all of them involved very long needles that were as thick as your thumb and no knock out drops or magic numbing cream:rotfl: It amazing how twisted we were - golly I even had to ask a policeman if I could go to the loo and he saw me in my primarni jimjams:eek: Sleot quite well, feel a little woozy still but I am up and dressed. Its roast chicken for dinner tonight too and I am not cooking it:rotfl:

    Have fun all:D

I thought that they had got rid of 'mixed wards' by now, H - obviously not.

I remember, all too vividly, my own time at the 'Eye Infirmary' when I had an operation for a 'lazy eye' - that was back in 1959  - the wards were segregated then and 'ruled' with an iron fist by the dreaded 'Matron'. I was in for 10 days - felt like a lifetime - I thought my parents had abandoned me. :rotfl:
