You gotta smile, huh?
Like when you approach the pedal bin, one broken leg off the ground, and the other leg, well, being the only one you are standing on ...
*BUMP* ... just seems so so appropriate. :rotfl:If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.

An afternoon post-hospital and complete waste of time bump:mad: Instead of 3 appointments I had one - one was only half an appointment and not written in stone the other was cancelled because my consultant is on paternity leave (he should have tied a knot in it:rolleyes:). Now I have to go back on 17 June at 9am:eek: (I have to get a bus into town and a bus out:mad:).
MF - what sort of training were you doing for you to hurt and break your ankle? Are you sure you weren't running down a hill chasing a lump of cheese over in the cotswolds? As for the pedal bin, that's easy stand on good leg, carefully press the pedal with the plaster cast and voila lid opens and you shove stuff in the bin - it takes practice but can be done:D
I spent some of my luncheon vouchers today in Starbucks inside Selfridges - they don't take the Starbucks cards though:rolleyes: so I splashed out on a sandwich, cake and medium coffee (it looked large to me) which cost me £6.90 so 2 books of luncheon vouchers which were free and 90p cash from me and I had a tasty lunch:cool:0 -
... a way down page 2 BUMP!
Hospital says i don't need plated or screwed back together unless I now do something really stupid - and that probably includes mucking about with pedal bins - developing a technique with one of the crutches for that - and now carry everything I need about with me in a small backpack - wow, it's a whole new learning experience.
Horace - I have been doing a series of what I call "training" circuits about three times a day - part perfectly safe paved area and roads - but part thru woodland nearby - it was raining heavily - and on a slope - I slipped (just going too fast) and as I fell one foot went under me, and my other leg went in the opposite direction - I heard a snap (ermmm, really really didn't like that bit) - but then I had to walk back home about a mile - so the "training" did prove itself, just not what i had in mind tho'.
I did get to choose the colour of my new cast today tho - vivid purple!!! :rotfl:If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.
