Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P

Hi Tixy
All is well here today, except that I have discovered that my shallow remoska pan has a massive dent in it from where I knocked it off the shelf:mad:0 -
Bumping from page 2.
Lula would be proud of me, I ended up scavenging by the bins again today:D I am glad that there are folks near me who are unable to walk to another bin and to have the energy to lift the lid and put their rubbish in said bin - one kindly person left a Taylors wooden wine box next to the bin so I chucked my bag in and picked it up - it is now sitting on my balcony waiting for me to drill some drainage holes in it (oh how I wish I hadn't given him his drill back:rolleyes:):j0 -
Bump from 2.
Oh no I feel such a philistine and an ignormaus - what is a remoska pan for?
What are you going to grow in your wine box?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
The shallow pan is to be used with my Remoska (made in chechoslovakia and sold by Lakeland - it is really ecomical to use too), it comes with a standard deep pan and I bought a shallow pan to bring food closer to the heat source, I dropped the shallow pan the other week and now it is dented and the lid doesnt fit properly:mad:
I shall grow root veg in my wine box although I might put a few flowers in there too:D0 -
Ah I've just looked it up - is it mostly for meat you use it? (I'm veggie) Quite expensive outlay but I suppose if its used lots and cheap to run thats good.
I had my free big dig seeds come - going to plant squash, beetroot and lettuce this weekend, need to scavenge some containers for them and a wine box sounds a good idea - I know a lady who may just have some (my Mom!)A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
