Can gas meters be read remotely? I've just had a bill with an actual reading taken on Tuesday. I've checked and it is correct, but the meter is behind a locked gate and I certainly didn't let anyone in.
Thanks
Hi
Do you have a pre-payment gas meter? If so, then everytime you top up at your local paypoint, your supplier will receive regular reads.
Cheers

Not prepayment, normal standard gas meter.
Was just surprised as this hadn't happened before and I wasn't told it would be read in this way. They only did the gas, not the elec with same supplier.
Will give them a ring.Now proud Mumto3 :j0
