offered 3 weeks holidays for £299

Hi, last year we went to a sunterra presentation thingy. we didn't sign up but happily spent the £50 argos voucher we got.

In the last month various affiliated companies have phoned us offering us cheap holidays.

The latest offer if for the sum of £299 we can have 3 separate week long holidays to places like spain tenerife etc, to include accom for up to 6. Flights are extra. We also get a 4night 3day city break to places like rome or prague etc. We would have to pay £98 for this break but only when we book it. The company is called Getconnecteduk and the e-mail was from ukconnected.co.uk.

When I asked him how they made their money he said we would be sent a piece of software that would find us the cheapest flights. however we could find flights from any source for these breaks. After 3 years we would be offered the chance to buy this software at approx cost of £700. Apparently it is the software 3000 travel agents use to find the cheapest deals around.

Does anyone know if this is too good to true, legit/scam? They are phoning back on Monday.

I was invited to Sale in Manchester this sunday for one of these presentations (got the letter this morning) the letter said that I would receive a weeks holiday for attendance. It then went on to say that I would have to book the flights through them, they would give me a voucher for £200 toward these flights and promised that their 2nd flight would cost no more than £199 , but in order to take the holiday for 2 people, I must be married or co-habiting and pay for any additional passengers , also there would be a booking fee per person of £25, so according to Sunterra's terms and conditions the holiday would be neither use nor ornament to me. Maybe I would have attended if they had given me incentive but I've never heard of them before. As for the software , most travel agents will have the most up to date version and they do all the legwork for you if you are pleasant enough and they think you might book through them, you can always walk away with your printouts and a promise to think about it.
