hi i am a little confused wat does it mean by pointers?
Hi cuppa-cha (just what I need now!)
With out more context to your Q I can only assume that 'pointers' refers to vouchers (either from the advantage card machine or a boots mailing) giving a certain amount of points if you purchase a certain item. ie; at the moment some peeps have a received a voucher in a boots mailing for 100 when you buy any Mascara, or in the acm there is a voucher for 100 points wyb Botanics Cleansing Body Scrub
a list of other points vouchers available (but not to all - it is a bit random!) is on the first post of this thread. hth

It's just another name for vouchers that give extra AC points on a purchase.

Jediteacher, I have noticed these vouchers tend to 'appear' on the ACM if one has bought a few of No7 products; I say this coz b4 I tended to get no vouchers but since becoming a Bootshalic & purchasing items on offer/glitches/reduced my AC has given me more vouchers then ever b4... Again, this would not have been achieved w/out u ladies & gents, of course!

Not in my case, I'm a No7 junkie (seriously, I'm convinced that I've got more No7 stuff in my bedroom and bathroom than the total quantity of No7 stock in some of the smaller Boots stores :rotfl:)

But did I get any of the magic vouchers? Oh no

Aaah sorry, am I chatting here? Nawty Buffy :o

I would post some bargains if I had actually found any in Cambridge recently

    hi all,

i think we also need to bear in mind that hja is a still a student and therefore might not have realised the consequences of her actions :o

it is easy to get carried away when you have a brainwave of an idea and act impulsively on it, which is what i think has happened in this instance - i think her intentions are honourable - you would have to be apretty malicious and crafty 16 - 18 year old to think of making charitable requests for your own benefit:eek:

she might well have got permisssion from the boards, but if she had not then surely those in the know should have pointed her in the right direction, rather than a lot of people asking lots of questions about the event, which might have lead hja to further consider that it was alright to make those types of requests

it is also easy in a school environment; with so much going on and so many charity fundraising events, almost once a week - i know i work in one; to forget what is going on when and for which charity - teachers get confused, so why wouldn't a 16 - 18 year old?

having pmd hja - i know that this whole episode has got her feeling down

so as Edinburghlass has stated lets put this behind us - and wait for hja to report back on the success of the event ;)

Do you own this board? No .. you have just came on here in the last few days. Seems strange for you to back her up, when you have no idea who she is.

Yes, it's been discontinued, or maybe rebranded/renamed. There was loads of the Hydroquench range on clearance nationwide recently, you might still find a few items if you are lucky.

Typical, isn't it? I'd got some in a shoping spree maybe a year ago. Have recently started using it, and I love it, specially the overnight one... and now that I'm running low, it's no longer available... C'est la vie!

Thanks a lot for your reply, shall go on a quest to find more in the Boots dark clearance corners!

Try the smaller stores - I couldn't find the night sorbet anywhere around me, except in a very small store that got a delivery of it at the clearance price, when they didn't even stock it when it was full price :rotfl:. I must have bought half their clearance stock - would have bought more but ran out of perkies (plus the SA's were starting to read the back of them, which would have stopped them selling it to me with a perkie anyway).

Clearance price for me was £8.20, if that helps.

    Lurkers lurk for a reason.
I haven't kept up with the forum the past few days.
And I am only quoting Pegginout as the headline here suits what I want to say, no offence mean't at all. :)
But I would like to say that whilst I agree that some people are less keen/ not as chatty/
Not as confident/ don't have time/ can't be bothered/ think you need to be part of 'the gang'...
Never find a glitch/ think their posts are less worthy, etc, etc...
    If we all only lurked......
And none of us posted our finds here......
Then this Grabbit thread would no longer exist. :(

Some of the more chatty posts may be infuriating when you are on your way out
and you want to have a quick check on the latest glitch/ offer/ combo etc.

But many of those who post slightly chatty posts do also find a lot of great deals, that they post here in the hope that many others will benefit too.

Please do not think that this post is aimed at anyone in particular...
I just think we can and should all get on with what we are here for....
    Shopping at Boots...:o::j::cool::j:D:j;):j:p:j :)
