I'm in a similar situation to the OP.

I am expecting a £95 duel fuel rebate from Npower at the end of April. After which I want to switch. My account has been managed by myself in such a way that if they apply the £95 rebate, I should clear the balance of my account give or take a pound or two here or there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, they way I read this is; the rebate will not be visible until my next statement, however it is applied to my account.

If this is correct, if I switch suppliers after April, the only money debit or credit on my account should a few pounds difference.

Have I understood this correctly? If not I think I'm going to have to kick off.

Confusing lot aren't they  hope your discount is applied to your statement dreamypuma but it should work out on your final bill. For customers staying with them it isn't fair that they 'may' delay the discount for another 6 months. I gave another meter read and asked if they could re-bill which was ignored, however I received apologies that they didn't reply to earlier emails and I will be re-billed. The bill is now ready to view but I can't view it as I am locked out of my account

I'm surprised they even managed 30% in the Which satisfaction survey, lol.

Do you think that leaving them will work? I've not had any huge issues with them, but I'm a cashback tart, and with my low usage, the cashbacks really work in my favour.

If you've been on that tariff for 12 months then surely the discount is yours and will be on the final bill? You have satisfied the criteria. But, problem is, it seems nothing is ever simple with this shower. If you wish to maximise cashback choose tariffs that have no requirement to stay any length of time then you can really go for it - 4 times per year is entirely possible! Whilst you have been waiting for the npower discount you could have trousered anything up to £300!

Has anyone received the offer to become a 'fan' of npower ?

    http://www.marketingweek.co.uk/cgi-bin/item.cgi?id=65246&d=258&h=262&f=3

Particularly like this ..... "The company already offered customers the £100 discount on their first anniversary, but it has never reminded customers that the offer can be taken up each year.
According to the company's head of retail propositions, Patrick Harvey, this means people might forget the offer is available and switch supplier after ten months.
He adds that the programme is part of npower's strategy to "turn customers into fans".
