Its an old marketing ploy I used to work for Safeways and to advertise the discount they have to advertise the product for just two weeks at full price. They used to do it it in their smaller stores like in the outer Hebrides or something! You can very often find it in the 'small print' on advertising material. 8)

Any tasting notes on this wine? It doesn't really matter how much or how little it's discounted if it's foul anyway..

A colleague was enthusing about it only the other day, but I've heard him enthuse about things that tasted to me like paint stripper.

I really like this wine. And I can normally decipher the difference between drinkable wine and paint stripper! ;D ;D

lol i work in tesco's and some many people come upto me and ask me where this wine is, never seen the ad but know where this is kept.

im always pointing at a big empty space, they shift this like no mans business
