Reading some of the stories on here reminded me about my friend who was being pestered by cold calls from various firms, so decided to turn the tables on them..
Having arranged a visit from one of their 'specialists', he sat theough 4 hours of spiel, looking through style options, sizing etc, then asked the rep how they intended to get approval for changes to a listed building (grade 2, i think? it was a while ago..).
the very nice man said he will look into that- but never came back, or called again..
