Car key snapped
this is the closest section I could think to post this in, feel free to move :-)
My friend has snapped he car key off in the boot of his car meaning he cant open his boot or lock it!
Its not central locking and theres no little catch to open the boot from inside the car.
Has anyone got any magic tricks to get the key out from inside??!! Hes desperate as he has to keep some expensive things in the car, and anyone could open it right now with a screwdriver!
Thanks in advance
Laurie

you can open the boot by climbing though the back and useing a screwdriver to lever the boot latch over from the inside, should be able to open it that way, but as for getting key out of lock, im not sure, you tried levering it out with a piece of wire maybe?if not you'll might have to remove lock and get a new one from a scrap yard.0

It's just a guess but what about trying to pull the broken piece of key out of the lock with a magnet? It won't do any damage and might work.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the 'I wanna' and 'In my home' and Health & Beauty'' boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
