I use the road regularly as my way to work. HWTHMBO rides that way on his M/C. We both avoid the area if it's been raining and there's been a show - which is usually EVERY weekend and now even during the week.
I have written to them to remind them that they have a duty of care to other road users and should at the very least put mud on road signs out when this happens. I have not received ANY response from them at all. I have rung the Police and the council and both are next to useless.
despite this:
Depositing mud/debris on the highway is an offence under Section 148 of the Highway Act.
Where the offender can be identified they can be prosecuted by either the Police or the highway authority.
There is a statutory duty placed on the highway authority to ensure safe passage for all highway uses.
Early intervention by the highway authority and appropriate signing will minimise risk. Please contact the Area Office as soon as possible.
Responsible site contractors will normally provide a wheel wash or similar facility within the site to eradicate the problem at the outset.

So there you go.
you could drive fairly quickly round the bend at their entrance of their eventing area and 'spank' your car, sue MKEC for leaving mud everywhere and not signing it and "this time next year rodney we'll be millionaires"just in case you need to know:

Hi everyone,
I was at the car boot sale on sunday, rummaging around for books to sell on amazon when a lady mentioned that there is a car boot sale on a saturday in Furzton. I have never heard of that one, she said it was really good. Does anyone know where it is?
Also, where is the afternoon sunday boot sale that someone mentioned a long time ago, I think its outside of MK?
Thanks bunches

I saw an ad for a giant car boot sale at MK eventing centre (some bloody horsey place who spread mud all over the road and don't give a munkeys). There are signs out on the A508 (from A5 stoney stratford roundabout heading towards Northampton).
anyway it's at Malt Mill Farm, Castlethorpe Road, Hanslope, Milton Keynes, MK19 7HQ

I used to live there as well and used to go in the local pubs and the horsey people were always in there and I just generally found them quite rude.
I then became seriously anti them when they ran an event and one of the people attending the event drove in to my car, seriously damaging it (it was written off) and drive off without leaving details. While I doubt it was anyone from the eventing centre, they were less than helpful when we tried to trace the vehicle from the description we had from my neighbour.MFIT No. 810 -

Hi all,
Just back from hols. I'm just catching up on MK & MSE news. Really shocked by the scaffolding incident. The poor family of the person that was killed.
Gully Mouse is the mascot of Gullivers Land in MK - & it is for nippers.0 -
Is this new?
I saw it when I seached for something else on the bbc.co.uk/news site - it has Thursdays date on it.
Scheme to develop Milton Keynes
Proposals for the massive redevelopment of the centre of Milton Keynes go on public display on Friday.
The council's draft planning document, Central CMK Framework, aims to transform Campbell Park, Portway, Saxon Gate and Child's Way.
In addition, up to 8,000 homes could be built, a marina, shops, offices and entertainment venues.
The public exhibition will be held from 21 to 24 April at the Midsummer Place, CMK shopping centre.
Am I the only one thinking about the disruption to our lives and all the mud & diesel that'll be on the roundabouts!just in case you need to know:

No, that's not new, it's been mentioned a few times now.
In the centre ("up the city" - you can tell I'm a local!) down in the "new bit" (aka Midsummer Place) next to Debenhams, there's a few boards up next to the information point with the development proposals for MK and the centre. These aren't a "new" display but have been there for some time now. I assume the 21-24th display refers to some additional information that's being made available.
Some changes look great, and some look bloody hideous.
Mind you, anything that gets us some new shops (we are sorely lacking in 'alternative' non chain stores, and some decent cheapy shops - where's our Primark?) in the centre is a good thing in my book...0
