Hi
I've been looking to buy a new camcorder and quite fancy one that has a Hard Drive (no more hunting for spare tapes!). This is just to use for holidays and the usual family ocassions.
Does anyone know what the speed of transfer for downloading to PC would be. I know there would be variables, but the PC I have is a farly high spec. What I didn't want was to have to spend say 1 hour sownloading 1 hour of footage (if that makes sense). I've tried in the past downloading DV from the camcorder to the PC via Firewire and it was painfully slow.
Any recommendations on a particular camera would also be wlecome
Thanks

it was painfully slow before, because you still had to play the tape. With a hard disk it will be much faster..Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
