From one fat lad to another...

It's not a ccj. It's a liability order from the magistrates court.

This is one occasion when it's OK to phone the council and see if you can agree a payment plan.

If you don't feel you can do this or cannot reach agreement then the CAB could try for you. However, many CABs now do not operate 'drop-ins' and have several weeks waiting time for an appointment. So if at all possible, take the initiative yourself.

Well, no idea just curious. Different councils/strokes etc. Anyway, never had CTX arrears so can't really offer any other stuff. Except for the final demand thing, of course. That process.

Would be nice, though, if they actually replied then I wouldn't be so suss of them. Being as I have a debt with MC for that exact same amount.:rotfl:

hi sorry been offline. sorted it now. it was because id missed 2 payments previous to the xmas ones, but had obviously caught up with them. apparently the 3 strikes rule was applied.
no reason to be suss mate, genuine person me.
had debt with moorcroft, equita (s derbyshire council tax), wescott (dell) and some others. only have 100 left with wescott.

anyway ive sorted it, had to pay the court costs for south tyneside council taking me court as they had started proceedings when i missed decembers payment. and had to pay for the liability order or something like that as i wasnt settling the debt til a few days after the court case. which was the 62 quid in total

i know not to mess with south tyneside council again!!

and dont worry im not a bailiff or owt, im just a lowly paid doorman!
