Need to become an adult

Hey Guys, I have heard alot about this forum and finally decided to bite the bullet and finally join.

I am currently living at home and commuting to work, so this is mainly my only outgoing along with phone contract.

However, at the end of the month i am only saving around 300 per month. I have a student overdraft which im trying to pay off but am looking for a better method for managing finances...

£300 is pretty good...depends so much on what you earn, where you live, what sort of things you enjoy in your free time etc etc.

im getting around 1300 after tax and spending around 450 per month on travel...

Well, 1300 after tax and saving 25%...I'd be very happy with that straight after uni. But each to their own...some here just want to save as much as possible.

£450 on travel? Do you use public transport or your own transport?

If travel is your only outgoing, then you got £850. So you roughly spend around £500-ish on Life?

how old are you lewii? im in pretty much the same situtation as you, living at home and not paying rent.. i'm trying to save as much as poss for future, i think that's all u can do really,savin 300 is pretty good.
