I have updated SAS and the FULL scan is now running.

I'm not too sure how to stop Acronis running - I'll have another look when the scan has finished.

I will also remove Trend and put on AVIRA ANTI VIRUS PERSONAL for the time being. And then look into the Kapersky suite at the weekend.

    Thanks again

Sorry for taking so long to come back ~ work got in the way.

I have run SAS full scan and Malwarebytes full scan ~ logs below ~ I think everything is okay with these.

I have also removed Trend and installed Kaspersky.
I've run CCleaner and fixed everything it found ~ Trend remenants mostly.

I have also run another Hijackthis log.

Would one of you kind people mind casting an eye over the logs to see if they look okay for me?

Couldn't get the removal tool to work properly. I've run the uninstal that was still showing in the programme folder.

    I've installed Kaspersky again.

    Does this look any better?

Thank you for your help aliEnRIK.

I will run SAS and Malwearbytes every few days to make sure we stay clean.

The kids will be so pleased they can use the PC again.

No need to use every few days. Alternate them weekly (Id also use SPYBOT too personally)
Download SPYBOT (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ make sure TEA TIMER is UNTICKED on installation)
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_spybot_search_destroy/
UPDATE and IMMUNISE (Make sure it reads ZERO unprotected) and SCAN

  • Things to check.

    - Do you have a large enough swap/page file. Check under System properties->Performance. It should be at least 2x the actual memory size.
    - Defrag disk. If a program is searching the whole hard disk for its code, then things will slow down.
    - Look at Event Viewer logs to see if anything is thrown up here.
    - Are you connected to a network. The system maybe waiting upon a network action before it can continue.
