I have an Esaver2 account with A&L I've just realized that I've never had any Emails from them regarding interest rate changes.
Do they send these out or have I had a screw up on the Email address front?
Also: it's it worth changing the account to an "online saver issue 4" (gross 3%) on the first of next month? These things change so fast it like hitting a moving target!

I very rarely get told by A&L of interest rate cuts, they're very sneaky like that. In fact, the only way I ever know of rate cut is by reading it on here!0

They were paying BR - 1% on current account, now they are paying a straight 1% , I think that is a plus for them
although needless to say they told me about that one
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
I also have an eSaver2 and as long as I know it's paying 2.8% at the moment, so I guess it's not worth changing to an eSaver4.
And to be fair with A&L they have a pretty easy system where you can check the rates on any savings account here http://www.alliance-leicester.co.uk/savings/interest-rates.aspx . Better than most banks on this.0 -
just to confirm, eSaver2 was paying 3.48% from 2nd February and now is paying 2.87% (from 2nd March), you can check this by selecting "closed issue accounts" through the above link.0
