Huge. Needs a lick of paint
£545k Central Harrogate. Sellers received an asking price offer within 24 hours, which they've not accepted yet.
Wifey not getting a wow factor, prefers the last one.
It seems to have a black bedroom ceiling .. odd!
I quite like dark ceilings.....personally. Depending on the room of course.

they haven't even asked Bailey and Rafferty what they think? Will the playroom be big enough? Will there be enough room for them to kick a ball around the garden with daddy when he's not in New York or London? Will THEY be able to project manage while mummy's at the gym? I can hardly wait for part 2!0

They have exchanged, they complete on 17th ... didn't say what month that is but they're sat outisde in the sun and she's in a vest top so that must be September.
London crash pad is to: Sleep/shower, 2-3 nights a week.
1] Islington. Tower Place ?
£195k first floor studio. "Bargain"
Ex-LA block.
She hates it. Obviously too !!!!! for her.
She doesn't feel safe.
He seems to be liking it a bit, but she won't let him have it.
2] Westminster. £214k, £14k over budget.
Another studio, smaller than the last one.
11'9"x8'2" in total, less than 1/3rd of the first one they saw.
3] Kentish Town. Above a cafe.
First floor studio, being refurbished still. £185k
Triple the floor space of the first one.
Not sure if they want to live over a cafe, might smell.
But wifey likes it ... size obviously matters to her
"Price is very, very attractive".
So they made an offer to take it as it is so they can finish it how they want it. Thinking of offering £175k.... so, made that call. [cue commercial break]
I've seen this one before, I remember these flats.0 -
Anyway, while I wasn't fully occupied with the typing, I managed to trawl through the Land Registry to find the house they actually bought.

Right ... final stretch now.
Their offer was rejected. He wants to finish it and sell for top dollar.
They decided they want the Kentish, so they raise their offer to £182,500 for the finished flat.
Now back to Harrogate to strip out the big house. Krusty took a hammer to a wall.
Revisit, Revisit, Revisit
Now, a year later, December 2008, Krusty's back in Harrogate to see what they've done.
House is done. Odd bath, looks to me like a car on bricks on a council estate.
They had a good builder.
Re London flat - that was a nightmare. It took 9 months to finish.
"Prices in Kentish Town have dropped 3% ... Harrogate have dropped 6%"
They're not bothered, they're staying in Harrogate. They just wanted a family home.0 -
Right. Now you can watch it on 4+1 immediately, or in iPlayer later
