*****specific to Northern Ireland**** as i am not sure which companies cover car insurance in NI ******************8
My daughter has been driving our car on and off but now has a job and needs her own car for work.
Are there any companies who will insure her in her own name but allow her for the fact she has been named on our policy for 4 years.
would it bring her premium down if myself and my hubby were named drivers on her policy as we would like to drive her car sometimes too.?
    can anyone advise ?
I rang L Hughes and got a brilliant quote for car insurance for daughter in her own name. she will now be the main driver of my car and I will transfer the tax book into her name to keep things right. I want to cancel the insurance I took out on 17/11/08 in my name with my daughter as a named driver, as i will not need 2 policies for one car ( hope this makes sense )will i get any money back ?
    hoping to sort by tomorrow.

SORTED .....got a refund and took out new policy for daughter. L hughes quoted her £573 and then Open and direct quoted her £540. Then l hughes quoted her £525 and the Open and direct quoted her £520 so we done the deal.
we only had to pay the difference between old policy that they cancelled today and the new onea few hundred pounds....so well pleased...
THANKS:beer:
