How much water does my washing machine use

I am trying to find out how much water my washing machine uses. We are meter so want to know if it is worth changing machines and getting a new one that uses about 59 litres.

Now my machine is approx 9 years old. There is nothing in the manual I tried phoning creda to be told by some call centre person we don't know anything about the machines and then gave me a 0870 number for another department. Like I ring 0870 numbers.

Apart from mailing the company I am rather at a loss to know where to go from now.

Does anyone know how much a older machine would use.

Thanks in advance.

Yours

Calley

Is it possible to read your water meter before and after you use it? eg. If you put the machine on before going out there shouldn't be anything else in the house using water.

Well I could but the meter is in cubic meters. I know there are a couple of digits after the main digits.

Suppose that would save me trying to convert it.

That is fine as long as I don't for anything else like go to the loo or run the taps for what ever reason.

As no one else has answered guess that is my only route.

Maybe you could collect the water coming out through the waste pipes
You would still have to make sure that you used nothing else whilst the machine was working.
