IE wont work!

Hi guys!

I've had this problem for a while now. All of asudden one day neither Firefox nor IE worked.

My friend has managed to get Firefox working again ( something to do with my proxy settings? Anyway still can't get IE to work.

I have tried downloading the latest version, and I have downloaded AVAST and run that, it detected a few things and I removed the ones it told me to.

T be honest though I have no idea what I am doing with computers when it comes to the techie things and would love your advice.

Thanks:T

it may also be worth checking the proxy settings in IE before doing as aliEnRik suggested.

    Internet Explorer 6.0

    1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.
    2. Under Proxy server, click to clear the checkbox for the Use a proxy server for your LAN option.
    3. Click OK to close the LAN Settings dialog box.
    4. Click OK again to close the Internet Options dialog box.

the options should be similar on IE7
