excuse me but i was merely retaliating to your worthless statement about writing to number 10 and have every1 laugh at me and your radical assumptions about myself.
I came on this forum to seek help, not be brought down by the likes of you and chuckley.0 -
cairneychris - I am in the process of challenging a default as I settled a debt that I missed 3 payments on (my fault) 3 months before the default was issued.
I signed up for Equifax (through quidco) and started a dispute. I fully paid a balance in April 2007 only to find out a Default had been issued in July 07. I obviously thought this was out of order as I didnt live at the property on file for 6 months and never saw a Default notice.
Anyway......Equifax has responded to my enquiries daily, which I am impressed with, and given a lot of advice. They have spoken with the Creditor already and they have agreed that a part settlement was made. I have checked my credit report again and there does show a note on there from Equifax/Lloyds TSB that a settlement was completed.
However - the D for Default still shows in the history so i am challenging that now.
A timescale for all of this - 10 days from logging the issue.
Advice - be prepared to pay for you report even though its free to start, be prepared to wait for answers from them, and be prepared to pay for your forecasted credit score (around £15).
If you PM me I can give you a website that I read some information from - wasnt really relevant to me but gives you an angle.
Hope this helps and makes sense
