Ok just a quick thought, in the remote control or wireless mouse etc, would you think it would be better to remove the batteries when not in use ir, before going to bed or on holiday? Just seeing how to get a longer life out of them...

            Dude, seriously????
LOL, well, a remote control won't make any difference, as you need to press the buttons for it to do anything (unless it's got an lcd etc, then it might be different)
Wireless mouse, probably; the logitech ones I have (although hardly ever use) have an LED constantly lit, so there is obviously some current draw going on, but whether this is the same for all or not I don't know.Shuffle up and deal!0

As of this Spring, Sanyo will commence marketing aa and aaa Eneloop batteries in the UK. For the 1st time ever, rechargeable batteries (with a higher capacity than standard alkaline ones) will not lose their charge gradually over a couple of months like they do now. So suddenly, as long as you can afford the investment, rechargeables will be suitable for remotes whether lightly used or not. Once purchased together with a charger, expect not to buy batteries for your remote again during it's lifetime.
