SDLT Tax Planning Scheme

I'm currently buying a house for 345000. I've been told that there is a tax planning scheme to pay no or minimal SDLT. From my limited understanding of the scheme it involves some kind of transfer on the contract the property between myself and my spouse.
Does anyone know anymore about the scheme as I'm slightly wary of agreeing to it if there are going to be problems by doing this

If you can afford to buy such an expensive house you can surely afford the stamp duty.0

I wholeheartedly agree with PoppySarah:
Our country, which I love, needs the money in these troubled times. Tax raising is something we (usually) all don't like but we pay, for the common good.
Come on, do the decent thing and pay up like the rest of us.. Set an example to those less fortunate than yourself!

I have no idea what you're talking about - it sounds more like the sort of thing you'd do to avoid income tax or capital gains.
There is no way around paying SDLT that I have ever heard of.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The logic used here is in my opinion faulty.

OK.
Divorce your wife.
The vendor splits the property into two properties i.e. Flats.
You and your Ex buy a flat each.
There are lots of other ways to do it.
