Seller has changed ID - previous ID feedback?

I'm interested in an item where seller is shown to have changed ID on the 12th Feb '06. But they have been a member since August '04 with their previous ID.

Is there anyway to see their feedback before they changed ID. When I go thru the Community page their old ID is not listed; only their current ID. Hope this makes sense to you.

Thanks for any info - Happy

Hi. Although their old id doesn't show all the feedback comments since they became a member are on their feedback page even if they changed ID several times. HTH

Yeah you should be able to find out their previous ID name

When you are on their page click on ID history on the right hand side of the page on the member profile page.

This shows the user names they have done.

You can then do a search - click advanced search at the top of the page and then there is an option in the menu on the left - find a member - then type in the old user id and this should tell you

    Hope this helps

If you change your user name all that happens is the name changes, your feedback remains.

So the feedback you see is what he's had all along.

  • Thanks for your quick responses.

It seems the person must have been a member for 18months without buying or selling anything and therefore rec'd no feedback. Then they changed their user ID.

As I couldn't find any feedback at all, I thought I was doing something wrong.

    Thanks. - Happy

You tend to find that if someone's dodgy, they'd get a completely new ID rather than change their ID, where what they previously did is traceable. Maybe they've got married or divorced and changed their name, or just thought of something they liked better
