I have Tiscali phone and broadband. I view my bill online through my tiscali account on their website.
I open an extra tab in the Firefox browser with Google in it. Then copy and paste any strange telephone numbers from the bill into Google, which usually will give me an idea what the telephone number called was.
It's usually something I have called and I have not found anything I should n't have been billed for.
The broadband is free, apart from the monthly charge from Tiscali, with unlimited use. I looked at the Sky Poker website and it said you have to open an account with a credit card to start playing.
Hope this helps.0 -
No websites that you browse to normally on your broadband connection charge you anything extra to view them. Imagine how easy it would be to trick people into going to a site and then rack up the charges - you'd be too scared to browse anything more exciting than news.bbc.co.uk
If you were being connected to a premium pay dialup service you'd have to configure your modem or router to dial that number and those services are normally more adult entertainment based.
Look at the itemised billing for the actual phone calls - that's where the money has gone. Your mum needs to check calls made and query any that seem out of place.
And... gambling sites are a no no for most people, let alone those of us who still live with our parents. Suggest you steer clear.0
