Is it not the norm to push a fridge under the worktop? Am I missing something?
no it isnt the norm. especially if the customer has electrical outlets ABOVE the worktop (ie they have to chop the plug off, shove it through a hole and then re-wire it) which for insurance purposes we couldnt do for them, and also we would void the warranty
also if a customer was in a rush to get the old one out or in most cases didnt bother until we turned up (which they were always advised to do beforhand to avoid delaying us while they empty the thing) they most probably wanted to mop and clean before slapping the new one in. you have to remember that our demograph in sutton coldfield was alot of O.A.P's who are very fussy about that kinda thing.
we always tried our best to accomodate them but theres only a finite amount of time fora delivery slot, so emptying an old fridge, removing it, delivering the new one, unpacking it, waiting while they clean etc... it all takes time. time that could be better spent delivering to the next customer, ie YOU.
you get the idea.0 -
