No claims discount for named drivers?

I'm currently looking to get car insurance for a newly purchased car.
On my previous car I was the main driver and my wife was the named driver and consequently she has not built up any no claims discount.
Does anyone know of any companies that allow the named driver to accrue no claims, and if it would be recognised by other companies as valid no claims?

There are quite a few co's that allow named drivers to build up their own NCB....only one that springs to mind at the moment is Direct Line....but in my experience of asking those co's, only the co that you accrued NCB with in this way will recognise it.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. There are plenty of companies that will "mirror" the no claims bonus for your wife subject to certain conditions. The best place to find these would be to speak to a local broker who will know which companies allow this and can arrange you a quote0
