Final consultation meeting.

Hi all.

I'm after a little advice if you wouldn't mind?

Iwas told just before Christmas that the company I work for were entering a 90 day consultation period. This ends on Friday of this week.

My doctor signed me off work due to stress/anxiety/depression 7 weeks ago.
I did not have a 1st consultation meeting as I had a weeks holiday. (My manager was aware that I did not have this 1st meeting)
My second meeting was conducted over the telephone.
I received a letter asking me to go in for a final meeting today at 5pm.

Now as my doctor has signed me off, do I actually have to go in for this meeting or could this be done over the phone? There is no way that I will have a job to go back to on Monday?

Any advice would be greatfully accepted :-)

I dont know to be honest I assume you could just do it over the phone, they cant make you go in if you are sick

I found out that I was being made redundant on Monday and I had a panic attack at work and couldnt breathe it was awful so I sympathise with you

    Hope it works out xx

  • I did just that :-) It took my manager 4 hours to reply to an email I sent Arghhhhh!!.

Outcome being that I am employed until 6th April (they have to give me 2 weeks notice) final pay date is 10th April.

Krasnoludek. I sincerely hope that you find something soon. My thoughts are with you also.
