Hi,
We had a £450 bill for electricity for the winter quarter (we are not linked to main gas). I rang them up and sent a chq for half, and promised them a cheque for the remaining half next month. They were good as gold."I will be debtfree":p0 -
my gas supplier is pretty good. Had a £200.00gas bill 2 weeks ago and stated i cannot afford this all in one good. I paid £60.00 yesterday and the remainder over the next couple of weeks. Never had a problem with the supplier and also they want to try there best to help us because so many people are in the same situation.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0

We always receive our bills for Gas, Electric and water mid month, but never pay them till we get paid on the 1st of the following month. They always say pay by "x" date (normally 7 days later etc) but who can realistically pay them then? Sorry Mr Utilites man but on the 1st of each month we assign our money to the bills we have to hand - if you come in mid month you can wait!!!! They normally send a chase up letter to remind you to pay, and I used to be really bothered when we first moved out of the parental home, but when I rang one of the utility companies they said they normally follow a procedure with letters before cutting you off. Thats just my experience and I know everyone will have a different one depending on who they are with.HSBC = £2200 Overdraft = £500.00 Loan - £11,701Total debt - Dec 09 £14400
