Hello. I would really check out the threads in the BR forum, top of the page for more about DROs.
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

£49. Short term DMP? That's a bit unusual for the CCCS because I have always been told you had to have a minimum of £100 disposable income to quality. Though, would depend on how many creditors you had.
Did you speak to one of their counsellors? Because what they can do for you is generate documents to send to your creditors offering £1 token payments for the time being until either your circumstances change or there is an improvement in your financial situation. Which includes an SOA as well.
Bankruptcy, at least to me, should be kept as a FINAL resort, not rushed into. It can have do many ramifications upon your daily life depending upon your circumstances eg in work, out of work and so on.
I would speak to CCCS directly - by telephone I mean not website - and get an SOA drawn up TBH. Then, later, consider the DRO angle when more information is available.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. When DRO's come into play on 6/4, contact CCCS and they will be able to advise you further. From what I can gather, a DRO is much like bankruptcy, but it only costs £90 and is aimed at people who have less than £50 surplus each month and assets less than £300. This does not include cars...you can keep any car you have as long as it's worth no more than £1k.0
