I have recently sent a letter to Lloyds as I am claiming due to financial hardship (long story, wont bore you all with it). The letter was used from the template on MSE and sent last thursday, today I recieved this letter in response:

Is that normal? they havent asked me for any more information on the hardship and my monetary position, and is 4-8 weeks the normal time they have to look this over?
Thanks for your help and avice.

This is a template response. If you set the timetable in your letter, you need to stick to it. Remind them again you are claiming on Hardship grounds when you send your next correspondence. Please read Martin's step by step article for more information, link in my signature.0 -
So right now its all going as per. Right, and I should chase up at the 14 day mark as set out in the template letter (and I did say that in the letter I sent) by sending them another letter?
Do I give them more time in that letter, or do I just go to the Ombudsman then?
Sorry, but I have gotten myself confused. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -

The second letter details how long you will give them and what happens next. Whether you go to the Ombudsman depends on if they ignore your claim for Hardship or reject it and you want it to be looked at again.0 -
Right, second letter shot off this morning. Fingers crosed they accept the speedy resolution I proposed. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20

Well I got a response... they are refusing to even look at it despite me claiming hardship.
Guess its a wait before contacting the Ombudsman then.

Well I followed the steps set out in Martins guide and sent the letter off, stating it was under the hardship waiver. I got back the letter in the first post. following advice I sent the second letter after 2 weeks, again stating financial hardship and offering a speedy resolution at just under 25% off the owed figure.
I got a leter back stating a load of bumf about the charges being fair and about the case, then stating that all investigations are on hold until the concluion of the test case, and the appreciate I wanted it dealt with quicker but they wont disadvantage my claim while the test case continues.
Not even a request for information on my hardship, not at any point, not by letter or phone.
I will scan the letter tomorrow. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -
Would 25% of the claim ease your financial hardship? Has it also mentioned to you that the rest of the claim will be dealt with once the OFT test case has been concluded?Well I followed the steps set out in Martins guide and sent the letter off, stating it was under the hardship waiver. Sory, no I offered a speedy resolution of a discount of 25% off what the total claim is (without interest). They have just not bothered ofering anything at all. Tht would be enough to ease the problems.
But as I say, they just wont even investigate the hardship claim. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -
Ok, this is the letter they sent me as a response to me sending out the second letter (following the timescale set down on MSE).

See, not even acknologing (sp?) my request that it be looked at under the Hardship waiver.
So what now? 5 weeks before contacting the Ombudsman? The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20
