Hi,
household insurers will typicaly cover a limited amount of "business equipment" or "office equipement" or "clerical business equipement" to a limit of £1,000 to £5,000 or there abouts. As you seem to have found, this is very limted and almost always stock will be excluded.
There are quite a few options out there, though some may restrict occupations that can be covered. They will usualy all be package policies including some EL and PL that you already say you have. Have you tried the broker you bought those cover's through?
There are various other options, usualy availible though brokers, direct or affinity deals. These include the following and I am sure many more:
-AXA (google "axa business insurance working from home insurance") who you can buy from directly, though a number of brokers white lable website like this one https://www.axa-insurance.co.uk/genesys/axacommercialinterweb?context=HOM&Source=UKIRE2 or though lloyds TSB (http://www.insurance.lloydstsb.com/business/home_worker/faq.asp),
- Direct Line (google "direct line for business") and
- Allianz, who underwrite a scheme though HSBC http://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/business/insurance/homeworkers-insurance
- Cornhill Direct have a home business add-on which I think is availible over the phone because it doesn't appear on their internet quote pages but there is information about: http://www.cornhilldirect.co.uk/homeinsurance/optional-extras.html
- Simply business appear also to offer a broker panel solution (choice of insurers) http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk/insurance/home-based-worker/
--edit--
- have also now found that two other brokers, "Lark" and "Stride" also market a home working product so try googling them too!0
