renting house through other agent

Hi, we're relocating and are very keen on one house and to move things along have started the tenancy application with the agency as they have quite a few properties we figured we'd more than likely end up with them anyway so it would cover for all. However we had an appointemnt with another agency at another property and although it wasn't suitable they said they have one we can see on Friday that sound quite nice, I've since noticed that the original agency also have it on thier books.
Is it 'allowed', althoguh not maybe ethical! to go and see it with the second agency but rent it through the first? It would avoid having to pay for another tenancy application and credit checks recorded on files?
