Hi, it's craft items I want to sell within my local mall....I have all the correct permissions in place now except the insurance. I only wanted to try one day first because the stalls there are quite expensive and I thought I'd get an idea on the first day whether it would be worth it or not. Mall management are happy for me to try as a one off, perhaps making it a weekly or monthly thing if it goes well.

It is normally fairly expense to buy public liability, a cheap way would be to join one of the market traders associations as they include cover for their members and the annual cost is about £40ish a year

    Thank-you dacouch...
Should I just google market traders associations and see what comes up, or should I be looking in phone book? Does it have to be one local to me?

Here is a link to one

http://www.nmtf.co.uk/index.php?id_cpg=6 they seem to be charging £78 for membership

This is a business that specialises in cover for traders whose annual premium is £47 which is a good deal

    http://www.cmtia.co.uk/

I don't think you will find much cheaper than that.

If your business takes off you can take a combined home and business policy that will cover your equipment, stock, money, liabilities etc

    I hope it goes well
