For Petes Sake Read This Thread

Apologies if this comes across strong
perhaps i'm in the wrong place perhaps the questions are a bit specialist but i don't wanna lose complete faith with the site

fed up of threads its tomorrow or im really nervous
if anyone wants BR advice im quite happy to help
post BR is when you need answers

The OR is a mouse compared to what happens afterwards
The i earn £2000 a month and can get an overdraft but not a Vanquis card with a £250 limit

Theres no shame in BR it helps some people out of a very tricky situation as it did me

The OR could not give a monkeys what suit you wear to the interview or if you cannot remember what you did with the money
the judge looks at your petition and says ok and signs the form

ok it might have been a little bit different 5 yrs ago but its still the same thing just not as stigmatised as it previously was years gone bye

the following is from athread that gets looked at but no bloomin answers

The thing with a lot of these sites is that people come looking for answers and then never report back
im willing to do that!!
Perhaps i should have titled this thread

5 days till i go BR
then opened another
4 days till i go BR
and then another
3 days till i go BR and what shall i wear and what should i take with me
or songs to go BR too

They are the only posts that get answered
I managed to do all of it by myself not knowing this forum existed and probably didnt then didnt need good luck today messages

Just need an answer to a question which i would then follow up with an update thus helping others with an update

sorry for being so anti this site at the moment but its just everyone posting rubbish that does not help anyone and just want an ecuddle not helping anyone in the long term

I also went bc without this site 18mths ago.It has not stopped me from answering as many questions as i can. I was in a very bad place. Trying to fill in the forms, deal with the phone calls ect ect. My partner was not much help and i never told any family or friends.

That made me determined to help as may others as i could in the run up to bc.If just one poster has felt less nervous or felt like they had someone to lean on or vent or help or get comfort from,, then i will have achieved my aim.

We all deal with things differently and this forum is not just for advice. It is somewhere to have a joke when we feel down,to chat when we feel alone,to get a hug when we need comfort. This forum is unique(sp)in that respect. If you want just straight forward answers with no "involvement" then there are plenty of other sites offering that.

You obviously want some sort of view on your post so here is mine.:D

Well done on doing it alone. As for the threads that only post rubbish and help no one. Mine was one of those and it helped me greatly :D

    Have a good one

Hiya, can hear your frustration but just reading peoples posts have helped me calm down. I would have gone BR anyway, but this site has saved me many hours worth of frett and worry.

Yes its very busy right now and will get busier and yes I still ask daft questions, answer as many posts as i can that i no anything about.
Sometimes it would be easy to think, hang on read the post above yours its the same question, or not another im nervous thread...

But - for that person its important, many are doing this totally alone and havent told a soul - thats a scary place.

I couldnt answer your question because i didnt know the answer, perhaps at the time you posted other people didnt either. I get the feeling there are 4 or 5 regular posters giving up hours to answer as much as they can - who have like you come out the other side.

There are others like me fairly new but willing to spend time answering and supporting as many tohers as possible, but are still either pre BR, not yet discharged or only just discharged and wont have an answer.

actually your post has made me think and I will post something up - as this board gets busier and busier I think a few are feeling swamped.

I too went br almost a year ago, without the help of this site. Having come across this forum about 3months ago I was amazed to see there was a community of people in the same situation.

I come on daily and have a read, and where I can offer support I do. I have no knowledge of homeowner issues but I do have experience in self employment, vechicles and the most important thing people on here need, that is emotionally support.

I always check to see how many posts have a zero answer rate and where I can I will add a note, even it is too say someone will be along shortly to answer.

There is a fantastic group of folks who are post br who dedicate alot of their time to helping others and to those I say thanks. It is heartwarming to see so many being helped through the lonely journey of br.

I always say that if you don't like the tv program, turn it off. Likewise if you don't find that this forum is of use to you, don't use it. I would hate for someone to read your post and be put off posting their own thoughts.

I love the songs to go br too, and the similiar posts that uplift people. I hope that the community on here continues as it is.

coldoasis (the cold part of your name definitely suits your post so you chose that name well:T )
you of all people, having been through it on your own with no help should understand the nerves and feelings before BR as well as the feelings after.this is a great site ,not just for info but for moral support from people going through all stages of BR or even just considering it.
carry on the great work peeps because i amongst loads of others appreciate it and find that its somewhere to turn to in this hard time of life.:p
