Cheapest broadband, telephone package

I am moving to a rented accommodation. I am looking for the cheapest broadband/telephone package. I am not a keen TV viewer but may consider a package with TV as well, if it doesn't cost much. Though, TV is not a requirement. Telephone usage is minimal and broadband is only to access emails etc and hardly any downloads.

If things go planned, I am hoping to buy a house in around 6 months. So I am hoping to sign a contract that I don't have to incur loads of cost if I move.

I have got O2 mobile and am considering O2 broadband. But for O2 broadband, I need a telephone line from BT and that itself is £11 and am not sure, if its a good idea with the installation charges and then pay again if I move in 6 months.

O2 dont require a BT proper line ,just a BT compatible line. So you could take a line and calls only with PO Homephone which is BT compatible and does not have a minimum term , and offers a lot of free call benefits,and just move your broadband to your new abode when you buy.Or you could combine PO homephone with a broadband supplier like Newnet that offers a 30 day contract.
