Over £2000 pa

Before I found this site, I thought I was fairly savvy about money - no debts, savings in bank, and with my expenses as low as they can go. I now realise how very wrong I was! Last night I estimated that I'll be saving about £2000 - £2300 per annum :j after making some changes, found solely from looking at this site. I'm amazed and humbled. Have saved by:
Cutting foods bills - £20 - £40 per month
Car insurance £100pa
Car tax £15 just by paying for a year rather than 6 months
Clothes shopping down £40 per month
Utilities - yet to be cut down to size, but probably £25 per month
Going out etc cut by £40 per month
Telephone cut by £20 per month and I now have the joy of Broadband
Petrol cut by £10 per month
Switched bank accounts/ISA/savings and started stoozing etc so extra interest each year maybe £100
Also - got over my allergy towards credit cards (well, had to really when started stoozing!) - after being burned after a dodgy retailer folded on me after I'd paid by debit card. And there was me priding myself on "I never use credit, why should I if I have the money already in my account?" Yeah right - soon saw the error of my ways on that one and in future such purchases will definitely be on the credit card for the protection!
So all in all a great learning experience!
