central heating pipes clicking when 1st turned on

how do i stop central heating pipes from clicking when the heating 1st turned on each day. there situated in the front room comming from the ceiling down to the ground where it connects to the rads.

As above.......
Copper expands when heated. For example, a 3 metre length of copper pipe will lengthen by 2.6mm if the temperature changes by 50C.
If you can get to the pipes then you need to insulate where the pipes meet wood. The clicking is caused were the copper touches the wood so if you can insulate it and stop it touch the wood, the clicking will stop.

I agree with david29dpo. Unless you can get at all the pipe runs you cannot really do anything about the problem. It is caused by the expansion of the pipes and by them rubbing against the holes or notches that they are passing through. Mine have been doing it for 30 years. You get used to it in the end.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
