Thanks good to know rosie- lee.
I think I got the same as you, Broadway short nails. Only put them on last night but there looking good!! Will keep you all updated on the condition in a week so no one else spends money on rubbish ones like I did.
Rosie- lee can you explain the numbers to me please? Mine were not e.g 1-5 there were lots of 7's and 6's and i think 5- no lower numbers so it wasnt very clear to me which numbers i use on each nail and no info on the packet.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

Update......
I love broadway nails Lol
The nails are graet lots of choice of nail colours, sizes etc and the glue is very strong.
At the moment had them on 2 weeks, two or three fell off but either reglued or used a new nail.
Anyone looking to buy false nails I could recommend broadway :-)New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

I'm confused - are they just the stick-on nails or it is liquid and powder applied with a brush?
You need to be careful with the stick-ons as you won't be prepping your nail properly and bacteria can get under if it's applied incorrectly - giving you a delightful little 'greenie' _pale_
p.s. all professionally applied overlays are derived from acrylic - gel too, it's just applied differently - and there is no one system kinder to the nails. It's all down to the quality of the tech0 -
Yes acrylic nails that glue on. I started the thread because i used to get them done professionally but found it was costing too much. The Broadway nails are a great subsitute to getting them done professional, mine lasted upto 2 weeks and only £7 & everyone thought that id have them done at the salon too they looked so good.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

You do need to be careful when doing it yourself though because stick-ons do carry more risk of bacterial infections.
They happen when you have bad prep (or none, as is the case with these nails - a good tech will prep and sanitize before application), or if you have pocket lifting (if you knock the nail, for example). They need warmth, food, etc to survive and you are creating the perfect environment, so it's important to know this before you go it alone. A tip is to rock the nail slightly when you're applying as this helps to eliminate air bubbles. If you do get any bacterial infections - it's an easily recognised yellow stain on the nail, which can turn green or even black - you need to remove the nails and keep them off till it grows out.
I'm not saying this to be bad or nasty or whatever, just making people aware of the risks0 -
Ohh is acrylic when you get them done professionally? Got confused i ment the glue on nails.
Thanks for your advice, i'll buy something tomorrow to sanitize them & use it before I put a new set on. Thanks for the advice, its best to know and look after them nowOtherwise may be posting a- My nails turned green thread Lol

Hi,
Acrylic nails are sculptured nails made of small solid pieces of monomer and polymer. Acrylic nails are very interesting to look at.
These nails are made mixing a particular powder and liquid. An expensive product called EMA should be used to make these nails, as this product reduces the harmful effects. MMA is also used, but it may contain some harmful ingredients. And this is not advisable, as you may put your hand by accident into your mouth, or may even eat with them.
These nails are very popular in the West and only now gaining momentum in the East. MMA is considered to be the cheapest way of producing artificial nails, but has its negative points.0 -
I have stopped getting my nails done as I couldn't justify spending £30 to £40 a month anymore.Boots had a great sale recently on nail items so I stocked up on various types &styles-revlon, broadway, kiss, sally henson miss manicure, fingers &elegant touch etc.
I am really pleased with the elegant touch acrylic kit, easy to apply and lasted for 3 weeks.I had to prep my nails first though but the instructions were easy&the nails looked lovely.
Also I just buy a small bottle of acetone for 79p from the pharmacy and pour it into a bowl which is placed over a bowl of hot water and then dip my nails in for 15minutes to remove the acrylics after.I was charged £10 for removal at a nail bar once &the removal kits usually cost around £6.Love can tame the wildest0
