Best acrylic nails?

Hi
For the past 5 months Ive been wearing gel nails however it was costing too much in backfills etc so last week I taken them off.

I found what looked to be some nice, short acrylic nails in boots for £6.00 which were similar to the gel nails I had before however only had them on 4 days and they look awful already. The white tips of the nail has chipped off and 4 have fallen off over 4 days.
Can anyone recommend some decent acrylic nails which you can purchase in boots/ superdrug etc? I dont mind paying more then £6 as long as they are decent.
thanks

I've never found any that stay on apart from the ones you get done professionally :(

  • I think Broadway nails are really good, they have number tabs on so are really easy to apply. I think they are about £7 a pack from boots.

    Hope this helps x

Are you talking about stick on nails? If so why not try applying a couple of coats of clear non chip varnish, to preserve?

  • I asked this question myself as want some for my wedding (the honeymoon is quite 'active' and don;t want to lose full acrylics I've paid £25-£35 for)

The unanimous answer from 4 different work colleagues was Broadway nails - apparently they are easy to apply and have been known to last up to 10 days!

Also last week they were buy one get one half price in Boots - dunno if the offer is still on - I bought 2 sets, 1 to practice with and 1 for the big day

    I get mine done.
I have a gel coating put over an acrylic nail, they are virtually indestructable.

The mixture of gel & acrylic is what makes it so tough.

I use Broadway short glue on nails and have done for years. They can last 2 weeks for me. I'm not particularly careful with them, have 2 kids but even washing my hair every day they seem to stay put.

Certainly recommended by me, after finding these I vowed never to sit in a salon for an hour again. Once you know your numbers, you can apply a set perfectly in 15mins:D
