The Sun 9.50 Holiday Breaks - Still Waiting !

MY DAUGHTER IS STILL WAITING ARE YOU ??? CHEQUE WAS CASHED 3rd FEBRUARY - I GOT MY HOLIDAY THROUGH 10 DAYS AGO. I JUST WANT TO RE ASSURE HER THAT SHE HAS TO BE PATIENT AND BY THEM CASHING THE CHEQUE MUST MEAN SHE HAS GOT ONE JUST A CASE OF ASSIGNING THE HOLIDAY PARK TO HER !! YOUR THOUGHTHS - thanks -X- :confused:

  • They only cashed my cheque yesterday and I have got nothing through the post yet to say what I have got.
    We put down for the middle of next month so they haven't got long.

    I hope your daughter gets a reply soon.

    If they've cashed the cheque then she probably has one. Ours was cashed one day and we got a confirmation from Haven through the day after. All depends on where they chose and the company running the park, if they aren't efficient at sending out confirmations then there isn't much you can do but wait.

    i got my confirmation but they havent cahsed my cheque yet ?? we got it yesterday they hav written the wrong amount as bn paid too so i dotn know what has gone on but our names and dates r right so im keeping a lid on it and going!!! we got cayton bay in may

    teh confirmation sheet may have extra charges that need to be paid i.e. for any entertainment passes or linen/electric charges that weren't included in the initial accomodation charges
  • yes I had to pay an additional 58.00 for club passes linen service charge but still well mega cheap for a little weekend break - Postie still not delivered my daughters letter - still will have to be patient !! thanks for all your replies - I am off in June to Kessingland - Lowesoft

    had a letter from sun to say i need to pay £38 as i enclosed cheque only for £9.50 x2 i didnt realise it was £38 for a couple or might hav asked some friends to come too!
    i said i dont ant the linen so have saved a bit there
  • There's only 2 of us going aswell but as you say have to pay for 4 still is a good bargain 19.00 each for 3 or 4 night break - never thought to say I never wanted their linen !! DOH ! Oh well never mind - have a soooooper time everyone - will keep you posted on whether my daughter ever gets hers

    just ring up the number on the confirmation letter and cancel the linen, they just amend the balance due, likewise if you don't need all the entertainment passes, i.e. we were billed for 4 but only need 2 so reduced total amount to pay from £67 (£32 passes, £20 linen, £15 services) to £31 (£16 passes, £15 services)
  • There is only 3 of us and we had to pay for 4 people. On the invoice it said 4 lots of bedlinen, but I called and cancelled the linen all together. Entertainment was only £2.50 and no service charges, so a 3 night holiday in April for £45 for the 3 of us.

    I've been on about 7 of these holidays now. The latest I've waited for confirmation was only 1 week before the start of the break. Previous posters are right in saying that if the cheque has been cashed they will be sending it soon. Some confirmations are dealt with by the actual parks which are quicker and some (if it's a big company like Haven) are dealt with at a head office which take longer.
