Throw in the microwave?

I cant see that it can hurt QT (P.s March
)
At least you can see if its a possibility and whether he wants a reasonable figure for it, rental wise or if he will extract the urine!
No harm in looking about either, then as soon as you exchange if you have found some where you can give them the nod.
I would think he would be over the moon to have tennants allready lined up, and ones that will look after the place.
How long are you thinking of renting foe, before jumping back on to the housing ladder?
Sorry for your loss, moving is stressful enough.

unless you have signed anything to say that you have them & will provide them, I'm sure they will get lost in your move. I've never been left appliance instructions in any place I've bought, even when they tried to charge a fortune for the items in the first place. It's a small petty thing to do, but it will make you feel a lot better
You might want to leave blown lightbulbs too
Thanks, you brought a smile to my face...
There is actually a blown lightbulb that I was thinking about whether we should replace (he did demand lightbulbs, he didn't specify working ones...). Unfortunately this is probably all complicated if we rent back... (a "clean break" would be easier...).
I am such an organised, giving person, but people acting like he is doing really makes me want to fight against it and be as unco-operative as possible (after exchange). What a sad world we live in...

The value of a 5 yr old microwave is negligible, so I can only assume your prospective purchaser is penny pinching - not the best advert for a possible future LL!If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Make your buyer feel noble, give him a 'sandwich' -
Thanks for agreeing to the slippage on the completion date
Can we talk about us renting
We'll leave you the microwave ( or even 'a' microwave if you're feeling less generous).....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Thanks and good points.
There really isn't a lot of rental property in this area: we live in a 4 bedroom house and would like to avoid anything into storage. Most of the rental properties here are either flats or student properties or not very nice or £2250+ and not particularly nicer than this either (rental valuations for here came back at £1350, £1500 and £1800, but the most one of these houses has rented for before is £1600... Did I say, I made sure the house was nice and showed around the letting agents for him a few weeks ago  ).
The is an identical house just gone on the rental market today for £1400pcm, I think that I will make an appointment to go an see that (both an option and maybe a haggling point, but I have a feeling this buyer is going to be a bit of a....).
We will probably only rent for about 6 months (hence why staying here is probably a good idea): we are trying to start a family (infact we had succeeded until yesterday...) and would like to be settled before QTPie Jnr comes along. Am still off alcohol, hopefully will regain tastebuds by the weekend.

I personally would just leave the damn microwave there. If he's that anal he's probably even wrote down the model and colour etc. So maybe not worth swapping it as he will complain its not the same oneWin's of 2014 so far-Maxfactor mascara, £50 Pizza Express Voucher, Dr Oetker Pizza, Nuby sippy cup :j:beer:0

Thanks guys - just all very bad timing... I thought that i was being strong and coping pretty well, but this just made me very angry (since it is only a 5 year old £150 microwave, it is a bit of a "storm in a tea cup" ).amjustagirl wrote: »I personally would just leave the damn microwave there. Unfortunately I just checked the details and it is shown just on the edge of the photo of the kitchen... (otherwise it would have been tempting to buy a cheap and nasty one).
The sandwich idea is good, but he sounds like a greedy little b*gg*r, so I doubt there would be much "to and thro" (probably just "take take take").
As someone on here has posted, it does just make you think that he will be a delightful landlord...
