Even when you were winning £50 to £100 per month, this was still far less than if you'd put the money into a one or two year fixed rate savings account with a bank or building society. A year and a half ago, I took out a fixed-rate account with Nationwide which paid 6.7%. On £30k this would give you £134 per month after tax.

If you were to take out your £30k tomorrow and put it into the West Brom BS 2-year fixed rate account, you will "win" £81 every month for the next two years.

that's if you could actually get West Brom to sort themselves out first so you don't get a letter from them asking for further ID two months after you got fed up with them and cancelled. :rolleyes2
