Creaking pipe

Hope someone can help.
I live in a new build flat, and have an issue with a pipe in the bathroom which makes a cracking/creaking noise whenever the upstairs flats run water/flush toilet/use any water from bathroom.
There is a pipe which runs down from the upper flats, and there is around 'access' hole on my wall - where you an unscrew the round plastic panel off and then you can get access to the pipe. There is also one of these pipes in the kitchen, but i have no problem with this at all.
For the past few months, there has been this creaking noise, it's quite loud and is starting to get on my nerves.
Does anybody know what would be causing this noise and how to go about fixing it?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

It may be that the pipe is resting on one side of the hole that it runs through.
Get some kind of foam (packaging or pipe insulation ) and put this between the pipe and the outside of the hole.
It may do the trick.
Another thing could be an 'airlock' in the pipe.
Speak to a plumber about sorting that out.
But try the foam suggestion first.0 -
Hi
I would say it's the soil and waste pipe . It's tight on a joist or the boxwork surrounding it.
Not easy to get to I would think.
As a new build it might get better as the building settles or get worse.

Thanks for that. Around 6 months ago, there was a query with leaking from the pipe, as downstairs had reported water coming through their roof (this was due to water going down the outside of pipe) but I believe that was sorted, but the plumber guy did move around alot of the insulation (yellow fluffy stuff!) So do you think that could be the prob?
