I use ice, ibuprofen, rest it up for a bit and then do gentle stretches to get it used to the movement, i also make sure i do alot of stretching before jogging, and after xxx

JG, you know the NPN route with Galaxy does work; I have won 3 books so far. I use 3 email addresses to enter every day so I hope to get some more books eventually; I already have and read Undomestic Goddess before this promotion and thoroughly recommend it,

    Please Help!

I've recently started driving the 3 miles to nursery, walking home, then back and driving home. (I can't walk with DS cos it has some very steep hills, too far for him at 3!)

Anyway, I've just started the walk home, got half way and was being crippled by 'shin splints?' I thought I could walk it out, but the thought of the huge hill on the way back, I knew I wouldn't be able to do it.

So, Please, anybody, have you ever suffered with shin splints and whats the best way to deal with?
I really don't want to give up now
    Rest and ice packs

    Thanks splodz and toniq,

better rest up for a bit - I always overdo it, but I get kind of addicted and hate it when I have to leave a few days out!
