Best place to sell autographs

I have the autograph of a famous aviator and just wondered if anybody had any ideas best to sell it. I dont think ebay would be the best place, but anyone who can convince me would be welcome. I have had 2 valuations, one for $75-$100 and the other one, from Bonhams, for £40-60. I doubt a general sale would be best, im also worried about once auctioneer fees have been taken away whether I will be left with much/anything. Suggestions are most welcome.

I would sell through a proper auction house as they can do the proper authentication and their name will lend weight to the genuiness of the item.
On ebay many of the autographed items are fakes and you run risks of people wanting refunds or whatever because they have bought it 'unseen' and don't appreciate that yours is real.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There used to be a specialist autograph auction house in the uk - I`ve phoned them for advice in the past. Try google.
If you set a reserve on your item taking into consideration all seller costs at least you`ll know the least amount you`ll be going home with.
The only other thing is to wait until the time is right - say they make a film about your aviator. Something that would increase the interest.0 -
thanks people. I will look into it. it was an £8 find among some old 'autograph' books from ebay!0
